I’m Aenish Shrestha, and today I’m super excited to share something really special with you all. As you’ve already seen from the title, yes – this is the iPhone 17 Pro Max 256GB in Deep Blue color.
I’ve already unboxed, set up, and started using it, but in this post, I’ll walk you through the unboxing experience, why I upgraded, first impressions, and whether the iPhone 17 Pro Max is worth buying.
📦 iPhone 17 Pro Max Unboxing Experience
Inside the box, here’s what I got:
- 📱 iPhone 17 Pro Max (Deep Blue)
- 🔌 Charger (yes, it came free from the store!)
- 🛡️ Protective case & tempered glass
I had to open the seal in the store itself because when you’re spending this much on a premium smartphone, you can’t take any risks.
🤔 Why I Chose iPhone 17 Pro Max
At first, I didn’t even plan to buy an iPhone. I was using the iPhone 1 Pro (office phone), but the iOS 26 update drained the battery badly, and it was not lasting a full day. Since I do a lot of social media and video work, I needed something reliable.
I considered the base iPhone 17, but it only had two cameras, and buying from the grey market meant losing out on proper warranty and insurance. The Pro Max, on the other hand, came with:
- Extra features
- Better durability
- Stunning color options
The Deep Blue variant immediately caught my eye, and that’s what finally convinced me.
📱 Design & Build Quality
- Base model → very lightweight but almost too light, felt less premium
- iPhone 17 Pro → balanced weight, smaller screen but premium feel
- iPhone 17 Pro Max → solid weight, premium build, and the Deep Blue color looks absolutely stunning
When holding the Pro Max, you can really feel it’s a premium phone.
⚡ Performance & Features
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is powered by the A19 Pro chipset with vapor chamber cooling, which means the phone doesn’t heat up even under heavy usage.
Other key features:
- 120Hz ProMotion display → buttery smooth scrolling
- iOS 26 optimized battery life → lasts a full day
- Apple ecosystem (AirDrop, iCloud, etc.) → makes video editing and file transfers so much easier
For someone who edits and creates content regularly, this ecosystem is a time-saver.
📷 iPhone 17 Pro Max Camera Review
The main reason I upgraded was videography.
Here’s my quick breakdown:
- Ultra-Wide (0.5x) → great for vlogging & landscape shots
- Main Camera (1x) → sharp colors, consistent output
- Telephoto (3x/4x) → very useful for zoom shots
- New 200mm digital zoom → decent, but still limited
- Front Camera → perfect for YouTube/TikTok-style videos without looking awkward in public
The video stabilization is excellent. Compared to carrying a bulky DSLR, the iPhone 17 Pro Max feels compact and gives stable, cinematic shots.
🔋 Battery & Charging
- Easily lasts a full day on heavy use (social media, videos, browsing)
- Charges up to 80% in about 1 hour with a 20W charger

🛡️ Protection & Accessories
One important tip – the iPhone 17 Pro Max is slippery and prone to scratches. I highly recommend:
- Using a protective case from day one
- Installing a tempered glass screen protector
- Buying from an official store to ensure warranty + insurance coverage
🎯 Final Thoughts – Is iPhone 17 Pro Max Worth It?
After 5 years of using Android, this is my first personal iPhone, and I’m glad I made the switch.
✅ Pros:
- Outstanding video & camera quality
- Premium design & build
- Long battery life
- Apple ecosystem productivity
❌ Cons:
- Very expensive
- Needs case & screen protection
- Digital zoom still limited
But overall, the iPhone 17 Pro Max Deep Blue is hands-down one of the best upgrades I’ve ever made.
